Trust Inno Sense 2,5 Ring Eggbutt - Cherry Roller

Sweet Iron

Sweet Iron bits are crafted from durable steel and feature a distinctive blue color. This material is designed to encourage natural salivation, enhancing your horse's comfort and promoting better acceptance of the bit.

Cherry Roller

The Cherry Roller bit features a series of smooth rollers along the mouthpiece, designed to encourage the horse to play with the bit, which helps promote relaxation in the jaw. The movement of the rollers stimulates saliva production, making the bit more easily accepted and reducing the tendency for the horse to grab onto it. With its rounded mouthpiece, the Cherry Roller offers a milder effect compared to the Magenis bit, providing a more forgiving feel for the horse. The Cherry Roller bit is recommended for use by professionals or under the guidance of a professional trainer during its application

2½ & 3 Ring

The 2½ & 3 Ring, also known as a Pessoa bit, features extra rings at the top and bottom of the regular bit rings. The top ring is used to attach the cheekpiece, while the bottom ring is for the rein. When the rein is used, the top ring tilts forward, creating leverage.

The strength of the impact depends on the type of mouthpiece, material, and number of rings. A 2½-ring snaffle creates less strong leverage than a 3-ring snaffle.

Understanding Color Changes

Sweet Iron bits naturally change color over time as they come into contact with humidity. The vibrant blue surface will transition to a greyish-brown tone due to oxidation. This process is entirely normal and improves the bit’s functionality by creating a sweet taste that stimulates salivation and enhances acceptance.

If the bit isn’t used regularly, a thicker layer of rust may form. This is easily removed with a brush or cloth before use to maintain the bit's performance.

Why Proper Sizing Matters

Choosing the correct bit size is essential for your horse’s comfort and performance. A bit that is too small can create painful pressure points and damage the mouth, while a bit that is too large may slide through the horse's mouth, causing discomfort and pinching the corners, potentially leading to wounds. Always ensure the bit fits snugly without being restrictive to keep your horse comfortable and responsive.
